Problem: During quarantine, many questions pop into our head like “have my family got infected yet?, did we wash our hands yet?, and how is COVID-19 doing?” Sometimes we go a week without exercise, so “are we fat yet?” But no one answers us. Idea: We want to find someone or something to answer all the questions. Objective: My objectives are to protect ourselves from COVID-19 and maintain our health to be strong. Solution: With Meddy Teddy, it can 1. time our hand washing period, 2. count how many people walk in and out a store and let them social distance, 3. alarm us to rest, workout, and show temperature, 4. check if we have COVID-19, and 5. calculate our BMI. Materials: Halocode, Remote controller, PIR sensor, Ranging sensor, LED, Temperature sensor, Button, Joystick, IR transceiver, Speaker, and Bluetooth. How it works: Program A - Meddy Teddy counts the washing time for 20 seconds with a ranging sensor, shows light with halocode, shows letter on LED, and sounds on speaker. If the time is less than 20 seconds, Meddy Teddy will say “No”. If the the time is exactly 20 seconds, Meddy Teddy will say “Thank you”. Program B - Meddy Teddy counts people walk in and out of a store with PIR sensor, shows light with halocode, shows letter on LED, and sounds on speaker. We can set people to be limited in the store such as Limit5. At first, the screen shows “Go”, when a person walks past Meddy Teddy, the screen shows 1, “wait” will be shown to signal the next person to keep social distance, and the screen will show “Go” again to let the next person go in. When 5 people are counted as a limit5, the screen will show “Full”. When the person goes out, he or she will press the button to deduct people in the store then the screen shows “Thank you”.
