Today, I am excited to present my project, the Automatic Cat Scratcher. Introduction Many cat owners love their pets but do not always have enough time to give them close attention. Cats need both physical and mental stimulation to stay healthy and happy. One of the things cats really enjoy is being scratched. However, when owners are busy, cats may feel bored, lonely, or even develop behavioral problems. The Automatic Cat Scratcher is designed to solve this problem. It ensures that cats receive proper care, even when the owner is not at home or is too busy. This helps improve the well-being of cats and also saves owners from getting tired after scratching their cats for a long time. Components Used The main components of this device include: the mCore Main Control Board, CyberPi, an ultrasonic sensor, encoder motors, and Sceince Sensor. Operating The automatic cat scratching device is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor to detect movement. When a cat approaches within 15 centimeters, the system sends a signal to the mCore Main Control Board, which activates the motor with a soft-start/stop mechanism to avoid startling the cat. The device alternates between slow and fast rotations to mimic the natural scratching rhythm, similar to being scratched by the owner. It operates for 300 seconds and then pauses for another 300 seconds to prevent continuous operation. After the rest period, the device will automatically resume operation when the cat approaches again. In addition, it can measure temperature and humidity by pressing the left and right buttons.
