作品介绍:
Inconsistent hydration among pets often stems from manual water refilling, environmental heat, and unmonitored drinking habits. These factors can lead to dehydration, urinary issues, and a decline in overall pet health. Sensor inaccuracies and the lack of behavioral adaptation in current systems worsen the problem, especially in multi-pet households where access to clean water may be delayed. This research explores the design of a smart hydration system that adapts to individual pet drinking behaviors and environmental conditions. By integrating sensors that monitor movement, water levels, and ambient temperature, the robot can dispense water intelligently based on real-time data. In Filipino households, where climate and space vary, the system must be energy-efficient, culturally adaptable, and affordable. Autonomous systems typically use sensors, timers, and refill mechanisms to maintain a clean and consistent water supply, reducing dehydration risks and promoting pet wellness. According to Kim et al. (2020), automated feeders and dispensers enhance animal welfare by minimizing human error and ensuring timely access to resources. Zhang and Lee (2019) also highlight the role of smart robotics in improving pet-owner convenience and behavior monitoring. The robot’s purpose is twofold: • To maintain optimal hydration for pets • To assist busy owners who struggle with regular water replenishment By automating this essential task, the robot improves pet health and supports a more efficient, stress-free care routine. This innovation aligns with smart home trends and reflects a commitment to compassionate, responsible animal care.
操作说明:
Instructions: 1. Power Activation • Action: Switch on the system. • Effect: The device powers up and initializes its sensors and display. 2. Environmental Sensing • Sensors Activated: Temperature and humidity sensors begin monitoring the surroundings. • Display Output: The current temperature is shown on the LCD screen. 3. Temperature-Based Dispensing Logic • If temperature is between 37.5°C and 40°C: o The DC motor dispenses water every 3 hours. o Purpose: Frequent hydration to counteract heat stress. If temperature is 37.4°C or lower: • The DC motor dispenses water every 6 hours. • Purpose: Reduced frequency to conserve water in cooler conditions. 4. Continuous Operation • The system runs autonomously, cycling through its programmed logic without manual input. • It adapts in real time to changing temperature conditions. 5. Benefits of Intelligent Automation • Efficient water regulation: Prevents overfilling and underhydration. • Minimized waste: Dispensing only as needed.
