Introduction:
Ninja´s secret number is a mathematical game for STEAM educational purposes that mixes pedagogical elements such as gamification using ninja context settings and engaging tacit concepts associated with a ninja world such as quickness, effectiveness, and certainty. The target groups are children at 5 to 8 years of age that are in the process of learning basic mathematical skills at school. This in order to support the use of other sensory elements among students to resolve given mathematical problems during a short period of time. By using a mixture of different cognitive skills, not just the rational brain side we encourage the use of kinetic elements, as well as sounds, graphical quantity representations to enhance the perception of the given mathematical operation.
Instructions:
The structure of the game consists of 13 variables. 3 lists. It is possible to change the content of the lists meaning you can change the range of the numerals and the type of operation that either can be chosen randomly or forced to just give operations of only one kind. let says just sums or rest, etc by just changing the contents of the list operations type. You can encourage older kids to help to adapt the game to other contexts, just by changing the graphical and sound aspects. You can change the spoken instructions to other supported languages by changing the language in the text to speech blocks. You will need to change the written content in all the text to speech blocks in order to give a coherent use of the chosen language. feel free to adapt it as you may need.
