Hi everyone, my name is Gordon Augusto Pook. I'm from Bina Bangsa School Semarang. A Carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions that come from the production use, and end-of-life of a product or service. Excess carbon in the atmosphere warms the planet and helps plants on land grow more. Excess carbon in the ocean makes the water more acidic, putting marine life in danger. Drastic reduction of carbon emissions is vital if we are to avoid a catastrophe that devastates large parts of the world. Governments and businesses have been slow to act - individuals need to take the lead now if we are to avoid climate chaos. There are some things we can all do to lower our impact on the environment to achieve a low carbon life.

1. Smart Waste Sorter System Waste management and its disposal is one of the greatest challenges faced by the world today. It is of vital concern to manage the municipal waste. By effective handling of waste material and by proper recycling, a country can progress in the right direction. In this work, a smart waste sorting machine is developed. It can sort out a variety of waste materials like metal, glass, etc. by using an electro-mechanical system. Conventional sensors are used for sorting out metal and glass and for paper and plastic, LASER and LDR is used. By using this sorting procedure and with proper recycling, the problem of waste management will be solved to some extent. This smart system will, thus help to properly dispose waste and avoids any environmental problems. 2. Water Filtration System Installing an advanced water filtration system has an abundance of benefits. From better health and wellness to a cleaner home, cleaner water can impact the entire household. Not only do water filtration systems produce healthier water than tap water, but they are also much more cost-effective than bottled water. 3. Air Quality Information System Air quality is not same everywhere and it is different by geographic pattern and weather conditions along with sources of air pollution contributes towards the quality of air. This is why different areas have different air quality levels at different time. Example: Let’s consider two areas: 1. Area having low air exchange rate and less sources of air pollution 2. Area having high air exchange rate and less sources of air pollution The first area will have a poor air quality than second area and why is that? This is because, the first area has low air exchange rate, which makes the pollutants to build up in that area and In second area, the air exchange rate is high which doesn’t allow the pollutants to build up in that particular area. 4.
