People who create content for this platform are generally known as youtubers. It was created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 and was acquired by Google Inc. in October 2006 for $ 1.65 billion and now operates as one of its subsidiaries. YouTube uses an HTML5-based online player, which it introduced shortly after the W3C introduced it, and which is supported by the most popular web browsers.
